Implementation tips
- Show covenant headroom on one page per quarter — make the credit paper easy to write.
- Flag any obligor-group changes since the last facility; security re-takes drive timelines.
- Include the hedging book even when out of scope; credit teams ask anyway.
FAQs
What do lenders read first?
Covenant compliance history and the forecast's covenant headroom — everything else supports those two.
How current must management accounts be?
No older than the last full month at credit-committee date; stale packs trigger repeat requests.
